What is COVID-19

Recently, a new coronavirus was discovered, known as COVID-19. This is a contagious respiratory disease that originated in Wuhan, China, in Devember 2019.

How does it spread and what are the symptoms?

COVID-19 is spread through respiratory droplets created when someone coughs or sneezes. To acquire the virus, you’d need to be within 6 ft (2m) of a contagious person and come into contact with their droplets for a prolonged period of time.

Right now, there’s no vaccine or any other targeted medications for COVID-19. Just like the flu, infected people should make sure they get plenty of rest, drink fluids, and try to manage their fever with Tylenol.
